Job Position(s): Videographer/Video Editor
Project Type: Documentary
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Robert Half is staffing a Freelance Videographer / Video Editor for a healthcare client based in Rockville, MD. This role sits across both production and post-production, covering everything from on-site corporate shoots and conference coverage to the full editorial workflow that follows. It suits a self-sufficient shooter-editor who owns their kit and is comfortable moving between field work and the timeline without a dedicated crew around them.

About the Role

This is a freelance position embedded within a healthcare organization’s internal communications or marketing function, supporting a range of corporate video production needs including executive interviews, educational content, and event documentation. Day-to-day work shifts between on-location shoots across the DC metro area and desk-based post-production work covering editing, color, audio, and delivery for multiple platforms. The post-production workflow includes formatting finished pieces for digital, social, internal broadcast, and external distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate camera and capture broadcast-quality footage on-site at interviews, corporate events, and healthcare conferences throughout the DC metro region.
  • Cut and deliver polished edits for digital and social platforms, managing the full post-production workflow from rough assembly through picture lock.
  • Handle color correction and audio enhancement to broadcast-ready standards across all deliverables.
  • Build motion graphics as needed to support corporate storytelling and educational video formats.
  • Work directly with internal stakeholders to interpret project briefs and translate organizational messaging into camera and editorial decisions.
  • Maintain organized media asset management and project file archiving across all active and completed productions.

What You Bring

  • Proven credits in corporate video production, event coverage, or branded content as a shooting editor or solo operator.
  • Proficiency in a professional NLE, with Adobe Premiere Pro being the standard expectation for this type of corporate post-production workflow.
  • Working knowledge of color grading tools and audio post software, such as Adobe Audition or equivalent.
  • Access to your own production equipment including camera, audio, and lighting packages suitable for interview and event work.
  • Ability to manage projects independently from pre-production through final delivery with minimal supervision.

Why This Role

Robert Half has placed freelance crew and post-production talent across a wide range of corporate and institutional clients, and this engagement offers consistent project variety within a single organization rather than constant client turnover. Healthcare content work builds a specific and transferable credit set, particularly for editors moving deeper into branded content or documentary-adjacent formats. Robert Half handles contract placement, which means your focus stays on production rather than business development.

Apply now for the Freelance Videographer / Video Editor role with Robert Half and bring your production and post-production skills to a healthcare client with real ongoing content needs.
