Job Position(s): Videographer and Rich Media Educational Editor
Project Type: Commercial
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: $83,000 - $88,000/year

Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, NJ is hiring a Videographer and Rich Media Educational Editor to join its Online and Digital Learning team. This role sits inside Academic Affairs and is responsible for the full production pipeline, from pre-production planning and studio shoots through post-production editing, motion graphics, and delivery of graduate-level educational video content. It suits a media professional with a background in educational video production or documentary-style single-camera work who is comfortable owning projects end to end.

About the Role

The Videographer and Rich Media Educational Editor works within the ODL department alongside instructional designers, faculty, and subject matter experts to produce course videos, continuing education content, and institutional media for Princeton Theological Seminary. A typical day moves between studio camera operation, timeline editing in post-production, and pre-production coordination with professors and program leads. The role also includes building and maintaining a structured digital asset library and running on-campus video production workshops for students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate cameras, lighting rigs, and audio equipment in both controlled studio environments and field production settings to capture professional-grade educational footage.
  • Edit raw footage through a full post-production workflow, incorporating color correction, audio mixing, motion graphics, captions, and animations aligned with learning objectives.
  • Lead pre-production on each project, including storyboarding, scripting support, shot scheduling, and logistics coordination with faculty and instructional design staff.
  • Apply educational multimedia principles to develop interactive media and online learning materials that serve adult graduate-level learners.
  • Track concurrent video and multimedia projects using Monday.com, managing timelines and communicating progress to stakeholders across Academic Affairs.
  • Design and facilitate on-campus workshops that teach students foundational video production skills, visual storytelling, and content creation for social media platforms.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrated experience in video production and post-production, ideally across educational media, documentary, or corporate video formats.
  • Proficiency in professional editing software and motion graphics tools standard to a post-production workflow, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
  • Hands-on experience with camera systems, grip equipment, studio lighting, and location sound at a professional level.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards for video content, including captioning practices and learner-centered design principles.
  • Experience managing a digital asset library with consistent file naming, storage, and retrieval conventions across a production team.

Why This Role

Princeton Theological Seminary offers a hybrid, 35-hour-per-week staff position with real ownership over a growing digital learning production slate that spans graduate curriculum, continuing education, and institutional programs. The ODL team is a working production unit with genuine infrastructure, not a one-person operation asked to cover everything without support. For a Videographer and Rich Media Educational Editor who wants stable, meaningful long-form work outside of commercial or broadcast cycles, this is a substantive staff role at a respected academic institution.

Apply now for the Videographer and Rich Media Educational Editor position at Princeton Theological Seminary and bring your production background into an environment where the work directly serves graduate education.
