Amazon MGM Studios is hiring a Video Producer/Editor for the AWS Owned Content team in Seattle, WA. This is an end-to-end production role embedded within AWS Communications, responsible for original video content spanning concept development, single-operator shooting, editing, and platform delivery across YouTube, social video, and short-form formats. It suits a self-sufficient producer/editor who is equally comfortable pulling focus and building a final cut, and who has a track record of making technically complex subject matter land for general audiences.

About the Role

The AWS Owned Content team sits within Amazon’s broader communications function, producing editorial video that shapes how customers, media, and the public understand AWS products and strategy. Projects range from quick-turnaround news-style packages to longer-form visual storytelling, often moving from brief to published within a single day. You will work directly alongside subject-matter experts and communications leads to identify stories and determine the best production approach for each one.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full production workflow from pre-production planning and scriptwriting through camera operation, post-production editing, and final delivery across multiple aspect ratios and platforms.
• Execute single-operator shoots with professional camera and audio equipment, applying strong editorial judgment in fast-turnaround environments where planning, shooting, and editing may happen on the same day.
• Complete all picture finishing in-house, including assembly cuts, color correction, sound mixing, and motion graphics formatted for YouTube, social video, and short-form distribution.
• Develop creative treatments that translate cloud infrastructure and enterprise technology topics into clear, visually driven narratives for non-technical viewers.
• Step in as an on-camera presenter when the production format calls for it, maintaining the same editorial standard expected of external talent.
• Build and maintain scalable post-production workflows that allow a small team to publish consistently without sacrificing quality.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience as a producer/editor across non-fiction or branded video production, with a reel that shows both camera work and edited packages.
• Proficiency in a professional non-linear editing system, with hands-on skills in color correction, sound mixing, and motion graphics within that same post-production workflow.
• Experience producing content for YouTube and social video platforms, with working knowledge of format requirements and editorial best practices for each.
• Ability to translate technical or B2B subject matter into audience-facing video without losing accuracy.
• Comfort operating as a department of one on fast-turnaround productions where you set your own schedule and manage your own logistics.
