Video Editor (Flex)

This role sits within the post-production workflow, focused on cutting marketing content, streaming assets, and social media deliverables for the company’s media and entertainment clients. It suits an editor with a background in commercial or digital media production who is comfortable moving between projects and adapting to different creative briefs.

About the Role

Advanced Systems Group works across all phases of media production, from acquisition through delivery, serving content owners and broadcasters at scale. This Video Editor position is project-to-project, meaning the work varies by client, but consistently involves editing original footage and existing content into finished digital and social assets. A typical day includes cutting sequences in Premiere Pro, applying color correction and audio balancing, and communicating timeline estimates to the broader creative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit marketing and promotional content across digital, streaming, and social platforms, using a mix of original footage and pre-existing assets.
• Apply low-level color correction and audio balancing to bring deliverables to a broadcast-ready finish without a dedicated colorist or sound mixer on every project.
• Incorporate provided graphic elements into the post-production workflow, experimenting with visual techniques to serve the client’s creative direction.
• Interpret notes and revisions from creative directors and clients, translating feedback into clear editorial changes across multiple concurrent cuts.
• Manage project timelines across several jobs simultaneously, keeping stakeholders updated on progress and flagging any schedule risks early.
• Contribute creative input during the editing process, not just executing the brief but helping shape how a story is told in the cut.

What You Bring

• A minimum of 3 years editing content specifically for advertising, commercials, social media, or digital media production.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro as a primary editing tool.
• Experience working directly with creative teams and navigating feedback across multiple rounds of revision.
• Familiarity with all phases of production, with the organizational skills to manage a varied project slate without dropping details.
• Motion graphics experience or familiarity with live streaming and content production workflows is a plus.
