Job Position(s): Video Editor, Regulated Industry (Full-Time Contract, Remote)
Project Type: Film & Television
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Pearmill, a performance marketing agency operating fully remote across the US and Europe, is hiring a Video Editor, Regulated Industry for a full-time contract position open to candidates based in the US. This role sits within the post-production workflow of a paid media creative team, where the primary output is versioned ad creative and organic social content built to exact compliance standards for a single regulated-industry client. It suits an editor who thinks like a QA specialist as much as a craftsperson, and who finds precision versioning work genuinely satisfying rather than tedious.

About the Role

The Video Editor, Regulated Industry works directly inside Pearmill’s paid social production pipeline, cutting and versioning footage for Meta, TikTok, Google, and organic social channels. Every asset carries required disclosure copy that must match approved language exactly, across five formats per video, making accuracy in post-production workflow more critical here than visual flair. Day to day you work from briefs in Notion, receive feedback through Slack, manage files in Dropbox with a set naming convention, and turn batches around in two to three days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce multiple variations of each paid ad concept, resizing and reframing every video into five required formats per delivery.
  • Place, update, and visually verify required disclosure copy across every version, confirming each line matches the approved text exactly before the asset moves forward.
  • Build organic social videos including Reels and video Stories from approved templates using After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Maintain project files to team standards, including clear folder structures, descriptive composition and layer names, live text layers, and no third-party plugins, so any editor on the team can open and continue your work.
  • Own the first QA pass on every delivery, catching text errors and version mix-ups before internal review.
  • Incorporate feedback from internal and legal or regulatory review rounds, managing multiple near-identical versions through successive revision cycles without error.

What You Bring

  • Five or more years of professional video editing and motion graphics experience, with a portfolio or reel that includes versioning-heavy or compliance-driven work.
  • Expert-level After Effects and strong Premiere Pro skills, with demonstrated ability to build reusable motion graphics templates.
  • Experience editing paid social ads in a regulated industry, with working knowledge of how required disclosures are formatted and presented on screen.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, with working hours that overlap US East Coast business hours from Europe, Latin America, or Canada.
  • Comfort integrating AI tools into a post-production workflow and sharing those experiments with a team.

Why This Role

Pearmill runs paid media at volume for real clients, so the work here is production work, not spec work, and the systems you build get used. The team shares workflows and AI experiments openly, which means there is actual room to improve the process, not just execute it. This Video Editor, Regulated Industry contract is a full-time engagement with a remote team that treats post-production craft and analytical rigor as equally important.

Apply for the Video Editor, Regulated Industry position at Pearmill and include regulated or versioning-heavy work in your portfolio submission.
