The Donovan’s Venom, a nonprofit arts organization based in Redan, GA, is seeking a Video Editor / Content Editor to join their volunteer production team on a remote or Atlanta-based basis. This role sits squarely in post-production, responsible for cutting full-length episodes from raw footage and breaking each production into 8 to 12 or more short-form clips optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. It is a strong fit for an editor with experience in digital content production or episodic workflow who wants to own an editorial pipeline from assembly cut through final delivery.

About the Role

The Video Editor / Content Editor works within The Donovan’s Venom production team on original programming tied to the organization’s music education and fine arts mission. A typical day involves cutting long-form episode content, identifying high-value moments for short-form repurposing, and formatting exports across multiple aspect ratios for different platforms. This is a self-directed post-production workflow role where the editor makes meaningful creative decisions on pacing, structure, and social content strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit full-length episodes through the complete post-production workflow, from raw footage ingestion to final delivery-ready exports.
• Produce 8 to 12 or more short-form clips per episode for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other social platforms, formatted to each platform’s technical specifications.
• Identify hooks, key reactions, and standout quotes within raw footage that translate well to short-form content formats.
• Apply transitions, captions, motion graphics, music, and sound design elements that maintain visual consistency across the content library.
• Manage organized project files, footage assets, and final exports, including maintaining technical backups throughout the editorial process.
• Develop reusable editing templates and content standards that support a repeatable, scalable post-production workflow across future episodes.

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or a comparable professional editing application.
• A track record cutting both long-form and short-form video content, including interviews, digital shows, music content, podcasts, or entertainment programming.
• Working knowledge of color correction, basic audio editing, and caption integration within a standard post-production workflow.
• Familiarity with what performs on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, including current format trends and engagement patterns.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent edits, incorporate feedback efficiently, and meet deadlines without close supervision.
