Job Position(s): Video Editor
Project Type: Film & Television
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

BCSP is hiring a Video Editor based in Indianapolis, Indiana to join their in-house marketing and communications team. This role sits squarely in post-production, with output spanning edited video content and produced podcast audio across multiple platforms and distribution channels. It’s a good fit for a working editor who’s equally comfortable on a shoot day as they are in the edit bay.

About the Role

The Video Editor at BCSP works within the marketing and communications department, handling projects from pre-production planning through final delivery for a not-for-profit credentialing organization with a national footprint. Day-to-day production workflow includes camera operation and location shoots, editing video segments, and producing podcast episodes, with frequent collaboration across internal departments. The position is based in the Indianapolis office with the possibility of a hybrid schedule, and the role includes occasional to frequent travel for on-location production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate cameras, audio equipment, and lighting on location and in-studio, handling full equipment transport, setup, and breakdown independently.
  • Edit video and audio segments across a variety of digital formats within a post-production workflow that serves both internal communications and external marketing needs.
  • Program and operate teleprompter equipment during production shoots to support on-camera talent.
  • Revise cuts and audio mixes based on stakeholder feedback across multiple rounds of post-production review.
  • Maintain and organize an audio and video asset library to support ongoing and archival production needs.
  • Contribute to pre-production planning and content development by working directly with teams across the organization to shape multimedia concepts into finished pieces.

What You Bring

  • Three or more years of proven experience in audio and video production and editing, with a real working knowledge of end-to-end production.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, and other Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • An Associate’s degree or higher in a video production related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in any field combined with demonstrated production credits.
  • Demonstrated ability to transport, set up, and operate production equipment without support.
  • Experience producing content for multiple platforms, including podcast audio production and video content formatted for digital distribution.

Why This Role

BCSP has operated as a recognized not-for-profit credentialing organization since 1969, which means this in-house production role comes with institutional stability and a steady content slate rather than project-to-project uncertainty. For an editor looking to own a full post-production workflow rather than specialize in a single stage, this role covers the complete pipeline from shoot to delivery.

Apply now for the Video Editor position at BCSP and bring your post-production skills to a team producing content that reaches safety professionals across the country.
