Tiktok Videographer

Your SocialChef is hiring a TikTok Videographer based in Melbourne, VIC, to join their content production team. This role sits within a social media video production workflow, responsible for planning, shooting, and editing short-form vertical video content for food and lifestyle brand clients. It suits a self-shooting videographer who is comfortable owning the full production cycle from concept to delivered asset.

About the Role

The TikTok Videographer works within Your SocialChef’s content team, producing short-form video across client campaigns built for TikTok and similar social video platforms. A typical day involves pre-production planning, on-location or in-studio shooting, and turning around edited content to brief, often within tight delivery windows. The output here is social video production at volume, not single-hero films, so efficiency across the full production workflow matters as much as creative instinct.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan shoot days across multiple client briefs, including location scouting, shot listing, and coordinating talent or product for on-camera presentation.
• Operate camera and audio equipment on set, capturing footage optimised for vertical short-form video formats.
• Edit footage end-to-end using industry-standard post-production software, including cutting, colour grading, and adding motion graphics or text overlays suited to platform specs.
• Manage the media workflow from ingestion through to final export, ensuring deliverables meet client and platform technical requirements.
• Interpret creative briefs and contribute to pre-production planning sessions with the wider content team.
• Review published content performance and apply those insights to inform future production and editing decisions.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience producing and editing short-form video content, with a portfolio that includes social video production across TikTok or equivalent platforms.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, with working knowledge of colour correction tools.
• Hands-on camera operating skills across a range of shooting environments, including natural light and controlled studio setups.
• Strong organisational approach to managing multiple productions simultaneously without losing quality on individual deliverables.
• An understanding of content formats, aspect ratios, and compression standards required for social video delivery.

Why This Role

Your SocialChef works directly with food and lifestyle brands, giving the TikTok Videographer consistent access to a varied client roster rather than single-project work. The Melbourne-based team operates with a hands-on production culture where a videographer can genuinely shape the creative output rather than execute someone else’s locked brief. For a social video specialist looking to build a substantial body of published commercial work, the volume and variety here are real.
