About the Role

The Social Media and Videographer (Flexible) will work directly within Rentlife’s marketing operation, producing property walkthroughs, behind-the-scenes business content, and landlord-focused video campaigns. A typical day involves location filming across Birmingham properties, on-site capture of real estate interiors, and post-production editing for same-week publication. This is a standalone creative role with real input into content strategy, not just execution of briefs.

Key Responsibilities

• Film rental property walkthroughs on location across Birmingham, applying sound knowledge of angles, natural lighting, and spatial framing for real estate videography.
• Edit short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts using CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or equivalent post-production software.
• Produce behind-the-scenes branded content that documents business growth, team culture, and landlord success stories for Rentlife’s social channels.
• Monitor platform trends across TikTok and Instagram to inform content pacing, transition style, and publishing cadence.
• Pitch original content ideas and formats directly to the team, contributing to the broader social content strategy rather than working from a fixed brief alone.
• Build and maintain a consistent visual identity across all output, ensuring Rentlife’s brand is recognisable across every piece of short-form content.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable editing skills in CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar non-linear editing tools.
• A working understanding of short-form video production, including pacing, aspect ratios, and platform-specific formatting for Reels and TikTok.
• Confidence filming on location and around people, with your own camera kit or a high-quality smartphone capable of professional-grade capture.
• A portfolio or body of work showing short-form content that has actually performed, even from personal or student projects.
• Based in or near Birmingham with the ability to travel to properties across the area on filming days.
