Scale Up is hiring a Senior Video Editor & Client Lead for a fully remote contractor position based out of Quintana Roo, Yucatan, MX. This role sits squarely in post-production, where the editor owns the cut from rough assembly through final delivery while also serving as the primary creative contact for a key U.S.-based client account. It is the right fit for an experienced editor who is equally comfortable in a timeline as they are running a client call and holding a project together end to end.

About the Role

This is a post-production role embedded within a video production company that operates across branded content and digital deliverables for U.S. clients. The Senior Video Editor & Client Lead manages the full editorial pipeline while keeping the client relationship tight and the feedback loop short. A typical day moves between cutting sequences, reviewing notes with a client directly, and coordinating with the broader production team to keep deliverables on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the post-production workflow from offline edit through color, audio, and final export across multiple concurrent projects.
• Serve as the primary creative partner and point of contact for a dedicated client account, translating feedback into actionable editorial direction.
• Lead client reviews, present cut versions, and manage revision rounds with clear communication and consistent turnaround times.
• Coordinate with motion graphics artists, colorists, and audio mixers to move projects cleanly through each stage of the post pipeline.
• Maintain organized project files, asset libraries, and delivery specs to ensure consistency across all branded content output.
• Anticipate production bottlenecks and communicate timeline adjustments to clients and internal stakeholders before they become problems.

What You Bring

• Five or more years of professional editing experience across branded content, commercial, or digital video production.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of After Effects and Adobe Audition.
• A track record of managing client relationships directly, not just delivering cuts through a producer intermediary.
• Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously within a remote post-production environment.
• Strong editorial instincts for pacing, story structure, and visual consistency across long-form and short-form formats.
