Amazon MGM Studios is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for the CreativeFlux platform, based in New York, NY. This role sits inside the AI Studios engineering org and owns the training and serving infrastructure that puts generative models directly into the hands of artists working on Prime Video’s animated and live action productions. About the Role

The Senior MLE, CreativeFlux sits within the AI Studios team at Amazon MGM Studios, which builds Nara, an AI-native content creation platform serving both animation and live action/VFX pipelines. Day to day, this engineer works alongside Applied Scientists to move new generative model architectures from research notebooks into production-grade serving fleets that artists access through tools like Maya, After Effects, and Adobe Animate. The goal is keeping those model endpoints healthy and performant while Prime Video productions are actively running against them.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate ML training and inference workloads on EKS, including GPU node groups, custom schedulers, autoscaling, and gang scheduling for multi-GPU jobs serving animation and live action/VFX production pipelines.
• Integrate generative ML models covering image, video, and audio into production inference pipelines, taking new architectures from Applied Scientists to scaled deployment on the CreativeFlux platform.
• Build training and fine-tuning pipelines on EKS and SageMaker, including distributed training, evaluation harnesses, and checkpointing strategies used across episodic television productions.
• Improve GPU utilization, throughput, and latency on the inference fleet through batching, quantization, model compilation, and Kubernetes-native scaling primitives including HPA, KEDA, and custom controllers.
• Build automated evaluation pipelines and quality metrics that catch model regressions before they reach artists, including human-in-the-loop review where the production workflow requires it.
• Own operational health of model endpoints, covering monitoring, alerting, on-call response, capacity planning, and post-incident analysis tied to real production schedules.

What You Bring

• Strong hands-on experience with EKS and Kubernetes, including GPU node management and multi-GPU distributed training job orchestration, is required for this position.
• Production experience optimizing generative ML model inference across image, video, or audio modalities, ideally in an animation studio or VFX pipeline context.
• Familiarity with Digital Content Creation tools such as Maya, After Effects, Adobe Animate, or Storyboard Pro and how ML capabilities surface inside those environments.
• Experience with SageMaker or equivalent managed training infrastructure, including data preparation, checkpointing, and evaluation at scale.
• A track record of writing clean, well-tested code and contributing meaningfully to design and code review processes on platform-level engineering teams.
