Production Supervisor

Netflix is hiring a Production Supervisor for its Animation Studios division, based in Vancouver, Canada. This role sits at the operational centre of a CG feature animation production, responsible for keeping a specific department on schedule, on budget, and aligned with the broader 3D animation pipeline from assets through to lighting and compositing. About the Role

You will be embedded within a department on a new animated feature film, working under Production Leadership and alongside Craft Supervisors and Leads to drive day-to-day execution. The work spans building and maintaining detailed floor schedules, running review sessions, managing coordinators and assistants, and producing regular variance reports for leadership. In feature animation production, this is the role where the plan meets reality, and your job is to close that gap.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain department-level floor schedules in collaboration with Craft Supervisors, Leads, and Coordinators, keeping task assignments current as production evolves.
• Track shot and asset progress in Autodesk Flow Production Tracking, maintaining accurate statuses, ETCs, and reports throughout the production cycle.
• Monitor performance against targets across the CG animation pipeline, flag risks early, and adjust plans before they become problems.
• Coordinate department review sessions end to end, including scheduling, preparation, note capture, and follow-up with artists and Leads.
• Manage timesheet accuracy and approvals, and coordinate overtime requests through the appropriate approval channels.
• Facilitate cross-department communication to resolve workflow issues and ensure artists have the information and resources they need to meet their deadlines.

What You Bring

• Previous experience as a Production Supervisor in feature animation, or a minimum of three years as a Production Coordinator on CG feature films.
• Working knowledge of the full 3D animation pipeline, from asset creation through lighting and compositing.
• Hands-on proficiency with Autodesk Flow Production Tracking, with Google Suite and Microsoft Office as supporting tools.
• Proven ability to analyse production data, identify trends, and forecast department performance on large-scale animated productions.
• Experience managing junior production staff, including coordinators and production assistants, in a studio environment.

The overall compensation range for this Production Supervisor role is $80,000 to $97,000 CAD, reflecting total compensation with no bonus structure, plus a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, mental health support, retirement programs, and paid leave.
