Production Supervisor

Netflix is hiring a Production Supervisor for its Animation Studios division, based onsite in Burbank, California. About the Role

Reporting to the Producer and Production Manager, the Production Supervisor owns the day-to-day rhythm of their department, from scheduling and tracking to crew check-ins and stakeholder reviews. The film is a CG animated feature, which means coordinating closely with both in-house artists and external partner studios across file transfers, review protocols, and delivery packages. On any given day, this person is parsing ShotGrid data, running department reviews, and flagging schedule risks before they become production problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain departmental schedules, workflow documents, and tracking tools for use by production staff and external partner studios throughout the CG feature film production cycle.
• Oversee department reviews with show leadership, set meeting agendas, and ensure creative approvals happen within the scheduled window.
• Generate daily and weekly status reports, analyze productivity against plan, forecast overtime needs, and identify scheduling vulnerabilities before they surface as delays.
• Configure and troubleshoot ShotGrid for your film, supervise shot and sequence breakdowns, and refine workflow processes in collaboration with the technical team.
• Supervise and train Production Coordinators and Production Assistants, including preparation and delivery of Creative Partner packages to external vendor studios.
• Liaise directly with external partner studios and their technical leads to establish protocols for file transfers, review pipelines, and studio kickoffs.

What You Bring

• 2 or more years working as a Production Supervisor on CG feature films or comparable animation studio production experience.
• Working knowledge of ShotGrid for asset and shot tracking within a feature film production pipeline.
• Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office, with knowledge of Final Draft, StoryboardPro, Photoshop, and Maya considered a plus.
• Prior experience coordinating with vendor or partner studios on deliveries, file transfers, and review workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication across crew, leadership, and external partners.
