Photographer and Videographer

TONE IMAGE is hiring a Photographer and Videographer based in Sydney, New South Wales, to join their wedding photography roster. This role sits within the photography and visual documentation side of event production, responsible for delivering technically sound, emotionally resonant image sets across ceremonies, receptions, and related sessions. It suits a skilled shooter who is comfortable working long hours on location and wants to build or deepen a wedding photography career with an established company.

About the Role

At TONE IMAGE, the Photographer and Videographer works across a regular schedule of wedding bookings, covering everything from bridal prep and engagement shoots through to ceremony and reception coverage. Each job requires reading the room, coordinating with couples and other vendors on the day, and delivering a final image set that meets the shoot brief without disrupting the event. Weekend availability is essential, as the majority of bookings run Friday through Sunday across Sydney and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Photograph wedding ceremonies, receptions, engagement sessions, bridal prep, and family portrait segments as confirmed in the booking schedule.
• Coordinate on the day with couples, wedding parties, and other vendors to capture key moments without interrupting event flow.
• Deliver a well-composed, technically sound image set per shoot brief, meeting TONE IMAGE’s output and style standards.
• Supply, transport, and maintain your own professional camera kit, including backup bodies and sufficient memory card capacity for full-day event photography.
• Confirm availability promptly when bookings are offered and communicate clearly in the lead-up to each shoot.
• Direct posed shots with confidence while maintaining a relaxed, unobtrusive presence throughout the day.

What You Bring

• A portfolio that demonstrates your photography style and technical range, with wedding or event photography credits preferred but not required.
• Ownership of professional-grade camera equipment, including a full-frame body, a working lens set suited to low-light and outdoor event coverage, and backup gear.
• Strong people skills developed across location shoots, events, or portrait sessions where directing subjects is part of the job.
• Reliability and punctuality, with the physical capacity to work the full arc of a wedding day.
• Based in Sydney or able to travel to the greater Sydney region for shoots.
