Media Production Assistant

We are looking for a dynamic, social-media-savvy Live Production Assistant to join our streaming team. You will be the “right hand” to our Live Host, ensuring every TikTok broadcast is seamless, engaging, and high-energy. This isn’t just a behind-the-scenes role; you are the bridge between the host and the Japanese-speaking audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Live Operations: Manage the technical side of the TikTok Live studio (lighting, audio, and connection) to ensure zero downtime.
• Audience Engagement: Monitor the live comment section in real-time. Highlight top questions for the host, manage “trolls,” and keep the vibe positive and interactive.
• Content Support: Assist the host with product demos, prop changes, and “on-the-fly” segments to keep the stream’s pacing fast and exciting.
• Strategic Interaction: Use “native-level” Japanese to craft engaging pinned comments, polls, and call-to-actions (CTAs) that drive follows and sales.
• Post-Stream Analytics: Help track performance metrics (views, engagement, retention) and suggest improvements for the next broadcast.

What We’re Looking For

• Language: Native-level Japanese speaker. Fluency in English is a plus.
• Social Media Native: You don’t just “use” TikTok; you understand the algorithm, the trends, and what makes a video go viral.
• Technical Agility: Comfortable handling mobile streaming setups and troubleshooting app glitches under pressure.
• High Energy: You have the “on-site” spark! You know how to motivate the host and keep the energy up for hours at a time.
• Cultural Nuance: Deep understanding of Japanese internet slang, etiquette, and consumer behavior.

Requirements

• Proven experience with TikTok, Instagram, or other live-streaming platforms.
• Ability to work on-site during scheduled broadcast shifts (including early mornings/weekends if applicable).
• Quick-thinking and proactive—you see a problem before the host does.
• Experience in e-commerce or “Live Selling” is a major advantage.
• Fluency in Japanese is a must.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $17.20-$25.31 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
