About the Role

You work as the named videographer on a court reporting contract with the U.S. Department of Justice, operating alongside a CLFC court reporter at each proceeding. Deposition locations fall within 50 miles of New Orleans, with remote depositions handled via video conferencing platforms when ordered. A typical assignment runs one to five hours, with the Government estimating roughly 20 hours of video attendance across the first contract year beginning December 15, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce the complete video record of federal depositions, maintaining continuous framing of the deponent from proceeding start through conclusion.
• Set up, test, and operate professional video and audio recording equipment at each location, with a backup recording running throughout.
• Manage the live video stream and simultaneous recording on remote depositions conducted over video conferencing platforms.
• Coordinate with the CLFC court reporter so that the video record aligns with the stenographic transcript for downstream synchronization.
• Maintain a documented chain of custody for all recorded media and deliver files through secure channels following each proceeding.
• Claim and confirm assignments through the CLFC BRIDGE App, which handles scheduling coordination on your behalf.

What You Bring

• Professional legal videography experience with sole responsibility for capture, audio, and delivery on deposition productions.
• Your own professional video and audio recording equipment, as no equipment is furnished under this contract.
• Certified Legal Video Specialist (CLVS) credential or equivalent professional certification, strongly preferred.
• Experience streaming and recording remote depositions, with working knowledge of video conferencing platforms used in legal proceedings.
• U.S. citizenship, national status, or lawful permanent residency with at least three years of U.S. residency in the last five, and ability to clear a Department of Justice background investigation.
• A current resume listing location, education, experience, training, and any security clearance for submission with the government quote.
