About the Role

The Hybrid Video & Photo Editor works inside Halfords’ in-house studio team, reporting to the Studio Manager and contributing to a broader creative unit focused on retail and digital content production. Day-to-day work covers editing product and campaign footage, retouching photography, and preparing assets for distribution across multiple digital channels. The volume and variety of output means this person needs to be methodical about file management and comfortable working to tight commercial deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit video content from rushes through to final delivery, applying colour grading and sound mixing suited to retail digital channels.
• Retouch and optimise photography assets for use across e-commerce, social, and internal communications platforms.
• Manage project files and asset libraries within a structured post-production workflow to ensure version control and on-time delivery.
• Work with the Studio Manager to interpret marketing briefs and translate them into finished visual content that meets campaign objectives.
• Prepare export packages formatted to platform-specific technical specifications across web, social, and in-store digital display.
• Support ongoing content production schedules by tracking multiple edit projects simultaneously without compromising output quality.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience editing video and retouching photography in a commercial or brand content production environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
• Familiarity with digital content production standards for retail or e-commerce platforms.
• Strong organisational skills applied to managing assets across concurrent projects within a busy in-house studio.
• A portfolio showing finished commercial content edits across both video and photography disciplines.
