About the Role

The Parenting Class Facilitator works directly within GRIP’s community programming team, delivering structured sessions to parents and guardians at the organization’s Sarasota location on Ashton Road. A typical session involves presenting prepared curriculum, guiding group discussion, fielding participant questions, and keeping the room grounded, respectful, and on schedule. The role also carries light administrative duties between sessions, including tracking attendance and gathering participant feedback to help the team refine program delivery over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on-site parenting classes using established GRIP curriculum, presenting material clearly to groups with varied backgrounds and learning styles.
• Facilitate open group discussions that encourage participation while maintaining a non-judgmental and culturally sensitive environment throughout each session.
• Prepare lesson materials ahead of each class and coordinate any activities or exercises built into the program structure.
• Read and interpret Bible scriptures as part of the faith-based curriculum framework that underpins GRIP’s parenting education model.
• Track session attendance and collect participant feedback to support ongoing program evaluation and content improvement.
• Maintain professional boundaries and uphold participant confidentiality in all interactions, in line with GRIP’s organizational values.

What You Bring

• Experience or genuine interest in working with parents, caregivers, or families in a group education or community outreach setting.
• Comfort facilitating group discussions and adapting communication style to reach diverse audiences with varying needs.
• Ability to read and engage with Bible scripture in a group context, given the faith-based nature of the program.
• Prior experience in Bible study leadership, small group facilitation, teaching, counseling, or social work is helpful but not required.
• Availability to attend scheduled on-site classes in the Manatee and Sarasota area, with reliable follow-through on commitments.
• Willingness to complete a background check and participate in an interview with the GRIP CEO as part of the screening process.
