This role sits in the post-production workflow for a construction services company, turning raw site footage into short-form social content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. About the Role

You’ll be working independently within a small content pipeline, taking unedited construction footage and shaping it into platform-ready clips. The output is high-volume short-form content, so familiarity with vertical format editing and platform-specific delivery specs is essential. A typical day involves selects, assembly cuts, motion graphics, and audio layering, all built around hooks that stop the scroll.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw construction footage into short-form videos optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts delivery specs.
• Develop strong opening hooks within the first two to three seconds to maximize watch time and audience retention.
• Design and integrate motion graphics and on-screen captions that match each platform’s viewing behavior.
• Select and place sound effects and music that support pacing and reinforce the visual narrative of each clip.
• Manage your own post-production workflow from ingest through final export across multiple concurrent short-form deliverables.
• Stay current with trending formats and editing styles that are performing well across short-form video production platforms.

What You Bring

• A portfolio of short-form videos with demonstrable performance, ideally including content that gained measurable organic reach.
• Proficiency in a professional NLE such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut, with motion graphics capability.
• Hands-on experience with caption styling, sound design, and vertical format post-production workflow.
• A working understanding of what makes content perform differently across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
• Ability to quote your own rates, which means you are likely working as a freelance or independent contractor.
