As a booth renter, you operate as an independent contractor handling your own scheduling, pricing, and client relationships while working out of a fully equipped, modern station. The day-to-day ranges from precision cuts and color services to natural hair care, textured styling, and special occasion or production-driven appointments.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute haircuts, coloring services, and finishing work including balayage, highlights, and gray coverage for a clientele that includes entertainment industry professionals.
• Provide specialized care for natural hair, curls, and textured hair types, a core focus of the salon’s service offering.
• Conduct thorough client consultations to assess needs and manage expectations before each service.
• Manage your own appointment book, client billing, and product inventory as a self-directed independent contractor.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized station in compliance with California State Board health and safety standards at all times.
• Pursue production styling, red carpet, and on-location opportunities that may come through the salon’s entertainment industry connections.

What You Bring

• Active California Cosmetology or Barber License, required before starting.
• An existing client base in or around Burbank, or a concrete plan to build one in the local entertainment and production community.
• Demonstrated skill across modern color techniques, chemical treatments, extensions, and textured hair styling.
• Valid business license, liability insurance, and an independent tax structure such as a 1099 or LLC setup.
• Experience with special occasion or production styling is a meaningful advantage for this location.
