The Production Factory is hiring a full-time Hair and Makeup Artist for a client-facing e-commerce studio role based in London. This position sits at the centre of a high-volume fashion shoot operation, delivering hair and makeup for menswear and womenswear e-commerce content across print, digital, and social platforms. It suits an experienced hair and makeup artist who is comfortable working at pace in a studio environment and has a solid background in commercial fashion production.

About the Role

You will be embedded in a client’s e-commerce studio in London, working five days a week across model shoots that feed into live product catalogues and campaign content. The Production Factory operates across stills and film production for fashion and lifestyle brands, and this role supports that output at the studio level, with scope to work on campaign and social shoots across London and within the M25. A typical day involves prepping multiple models to brand standard, maintaining continuity across a full shooting day, and working directly alongside photographers, stylists, and producers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver hair and makeup looks that meet the client’s brand guidelines across both menswear and womenswear e-commerce shoots.
• Manage model turnaround times to keep the shoot schedule on track, ensuring every model is camera-ready before they step in front of the lens.
• Monitor consistency of hair and makeup across all imagery, performing touch-ups and adjustments between shots throughout the shooting day.
• Research current hair and makeup trends and contribute to mood boarding for upcoming creative briefs.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kit, cleaning equipment and products daily in line with professional studio standards.
• Adapt looks to suit varying product categories, model types, and creative requirements as directed by the studio team.

What You Bring

• Proven experience as a Hair and Makeup Artist within high-volume fashion e-commerce studio production.
• Demonstrated skill working across all hair types, textures, and lengths, and across a diverse range of skin tones.
• Strong working knowledge of both men’s and women’s hair and makeup for commercial shoots.
• Experience in men’s barbering, including basic cutting, grooming, and beard trimming, is highly desirable.
• Ability to take creative direction, absorb feedback on set, and self-critique efficiently within a production workflow.
