About the Role

The Creative Strategy team at Forbes Advisor runs a high-volume short-form social production workflow, producing content primarily for Facebook and Instagram with a direct-response orientation. You will work directly with the Head of Creative Strategy and a team of Creative Strategists, editing batches of approximately five clips per day at around 30 seconds each. The role starts as up to four days per week on an ongoing freelance retainer, with an intended start date before the end of June, and carries a potential pathway to a permanent in-house position over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form social video content within a structured batch workflow, maintaining consistent output across four weekly delivery cycles.
• Apply platform-native pacing and hook construction for Meta placements, using real understanding of retention patterns on Facebook and Instagram.
• Integrate captions and subtitles in line with social-first storytelling conventions, not broadcast or brand-style formatting.
• Participate in iterative creative testing workflows, refining edits based on performance feedback from the Creative Strategy team.
• Work within UGC-style editing frameworks that prioritize authenticity and directness over polished post-production aesthetics.
• Experiment with AI-assisted creative tools including ElevenLabs and Veo 3 for asset generation, with access provided by the company.

What You Bring

• Five or more years of professional video editing experience in short-form or social content production.
• Adobe Premiere Pro proficiency is required, as the primary tool in this post-production workflow.
• Demonstrated editing credits across Meta, TikTok, or equivalent short-form social platforms with a performance marketing or direct-response focus.
• Working knowledge of hook writing, retention-oriented pacing, and creative testing methodology as applied to social video.
• Comfort operating in a collaborative, high-cadence production environment where briefs evolve quickly.
