About the Role

The Football Social Videographer joins Coolr’s in-house production team and works directly alongside producers and creatives to deliver social-first football content throughout the EFL calendar. The role is travel-heavy by design, with regular visits to clubs across the country to capture material on location. A typical day might involve scouting a training ground, directing a player-led piece to camera, and returning to cut a 60-second Reel ready for same-day publishing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on-location set direction at EFL clubs nationwide, managing shot composition, lighting, and audio capture without a dedicated crew.
• Shoot and self-edit social video content optimised for vertical and square formats across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Drive the storytelling approach for each piece, shaping narratives that fit platform behaviour and football audience expectations.
• Manage the full short-form post-production workflow from ingest and rough cut through to colour grade and export at platform specs.
• Coordinate with producers in pre-production to align shot lists, travel logistics, and content briefs before each club visit.
• Maintain consistency in visual style and pacing across a high-volume content output spanning an entire league season.

What You Bring

• A demonstrable track record shooting and editing social video content, ideally with sports, entertainment, or brand-side credits.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or a comparable professional non-linear editing system, with working knowledge of colour correction tools.
• Experience directing on-camera talent in run-and-gun or single-operator production environments.
• Solid understanding of how short-form video production differs across TikTok, Reels, and Shorts in terms of pacing, aspect ratio, and cut rhythm.
• Availability for a 7-month fixed-term contract with regular travel across England throughout the EFL season.
