Key Responsibilities

• Produce technical lighting documentation including light plots and design intent packages using Vectorworks and ConnectCAD.
• Support senior lighting designers through all stages of the creative and technical production process for parades, stage shows, and special events.
• Assist with design and technical research that informs fixture selection, rigging approaches, and show control decisions.
• Attend and contribute to Disney Live Entertainment project production meetings, representing the lighting design department.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including safety, production, and facility departments to ensure designs meet operational requirements.
• Maintain Disney quality standards across all design materials, ensuring consistency between creative vision and technical output.

What You Bring

• Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in theatrical lighting design, entertainment technology, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Vectorworks for drafting light plots in a live entertainment or theatrical production context.
• Familiarity with ConnectCAD for signal flow and system documentation.
• Experience supporting lighting design on stage productions, live events, or similar entertainment formats.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills suited to a production environment with multiple collaborating departments.
