Gray Television is hiring a Digital Media Editor/Videographer at KTIV News 4 in Sioux City, Iowa. The Digital Media Editor/Videographer works across breaking news and enterprise coverage, cutting and publishing content on deadline while also going into the field to shoot original material. A typical day moves between editing breaking packages, producing vertical and square cuts for social distribution, and coordinating with reporters and producers on visual storytelling workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot original news video in the field with attention to composition, natural sound, and lighting across a range of weather and location conditions.
• Edit breaking news packages and enterprise pieces using non-linear editing tools, with accurate audio mixing and strong sequencing judgment under deadline pressure.
• Produce platform-appropriate cuts in vertical, square, and horizontal formats optimized for social media performance and digital post-production workflow.
• Publish content through CMS and social platforms, maintaining accurate metadata, captions, and editorial standards aligned with Gray Television brand guidelines.
• Manage file organization and archive workflow, and keep cameras, microphones, and lighting gear properly maintained and production-ready.
• Support live field production and special broadcast projects as assigned by the newsroom team.

What You Bring

• A degree in journalism, communications, or film and television production, or equivalent professional experience in a newsroom or digital media environment.
• Hands-on proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable non-linear editing software, plus working knowledge of basic graphics and audio workflows.
• A portfolio or reel that demonstrates digital-first storytelling across multiple platforms and production types.
• Experience publishing to CMS platforms and managing social media video distribution.
• A valid driver’s license and the physical ability to carry production equipment in outdoor conditions.
