Hectic Off-Road & Water is hiring a Creative Content Creator and Videographer in Cairns, QLD, to lead video production and social content across their off-road and water park operation. This role sits across production and post-production, with the primary output being promotional video content optimised for social media platforms and a professional workplace health and safety induction video. It suits a self-shooting editor with commercial video production experience who is comfortable working independently in outdoor and action sports environments.

About the Role

This is a contract position with a clear path toward a permanent part-time or full-time role taking on advertising and social media management responsibilities. The day-to-day spans location shooting with drones and camera rigs, editing promotional reels for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, and producing a WHS video that meets professional safety communication standards. The production workflow is end-to-end, from shot planning through to final delivery, with no separate crew to hand off to.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit short-form promotional video content formatted for social media distribution across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Operate a drone commercially in compliance with CASA regulations to capture aerial cinematography of off-road and water park activities.
• Film, script support, and produce a workplace health and safety induction video to a professional broadcast standard.
• Apply advanced colour grading and sound design in post-production to deliver polished, platform-ready content.
• Manage the full video production workflow from pre-production planning through to final export and delivery.
• Optionally expand into social media management, including content scheduling, engagement tracking, and paid ad campaign execution.

What You Bring

• A professional camera kit with stabilisation gear such as a gimbal, plus waterproof and dustproof housing suitable for outdoor action sports production.
• A current CASA Remote Pilot Licence or equivalent commercial drone accreditation valid for operations in Australia.
• Advanced editing skills in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, with demonstrable experience in colour grading and audio mixing.
• A portfolio showing previous commercial video production, ideally including action sports, outdoor, or vehicle-based content.
• Reliable transport and the ability to reach shoot locations in and around Cairns independently.
