This is a short-form video production role sitting across social content, paid media, and founder personal brand, with the remit spanning shoot, edit, and delivery across TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. About the Role

This role sits at the centre of Somerce’s content operation, serving a TikTok Shop agency that works with more than 70 brands across beauty, FMCG, and wellness. You will split your time between content for the agency’s own channels, direct-response paid social, and building out the founder’s personal brand across talking-head interviews, event coverage, and repurposed long-form material. No two days are the same: one morning might be a studio shoot, the next a live commerce event, the next a heavy edit session turning a keynote into a week’s worth of clips.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit short-form social video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, owning the full production pipeline from concept through to final delivery.
• Produce UGC-style and direct-response video adverts for paid social campaigns, built around conversion performance rather than aesthetics alone.
• Cover founder Joe Yates’ personal brand content, including talking-head shoots, behind-the-scenes capture, podcast recording, and keynote event coverage.
• Repurpose long-form footage such as podcast recordings, livestreams, and keynote presentations into a consistent volume of short-form clips against a content calendar.
• Handle on-location audio, lighting, and camera setups independently, often at pace across live commerce shoots and studio days.
• Stay across platform format changes and emerging trends, bringing new content ideas into the development process rather than waiting on briefs.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience shooting and editing short-form social video content in a commercial or agency environment.
• A working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or a comparable professional editing application, with light motion graphics capability.
• A reel that shows UGC-style and direct-response ad production, not just branded content or film work.
• Confidence operating camera, audio, and lighting rigs solo on location without a wider crew.
• An understanding of what makes content perform on TikTok Shop and paid social, beyond surface-level trend awareness.
