Nen Creative is hiring a Cinematographer/Producer/Director/Editor based in San Francisco, CA. This role spans the full production pipeline, from pre-production planning and on-set camera work through to offline editing and final delivery of branded content and commercial shoots. It suits a versatile, self-sufficient filmmaker who is equally comfortable pulling focus and building a rough cut as they are managing a shoot day from the ground up.

About the Role

Nen Creative operates as a design-led motion studio working with clients that include Amazon and a roster of venture-backed startups, producing testimonials, brand films, and light commercial content. As a Cinematographer/Producer/Director/Editor, your days will move between coordinating production logistics, operating camera on set, directing interview subjects, and cutting footage through post-production workflow. The team is small and the slate moves quickly, so you will own significant portions of each project rather than handing off between departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Frame, light, and shoot branded content and commercial shoots with a clear point of view, handling camera operation and basic grip and lighting setups independently.
• Manage production logistics including scheduling, gear prep, call sheets, and on-set coordination to keep shoots running on time and on brief.
• Direct non-actors and interview subjects on camera, guiding performance to capture authentic, usable material for brand storytelling.
• Build and manage post-production workflow from media ingest and organization through to picture lock, sound mix, and final delivery.
• Collaborate directly with clients during production and post to align creative execution with brand goals and revise edits through approval cycles.
• Contribute to concept development and pre-production planning, helping shape the creative direction of projects from brief to delivery.

What You Bring

• A portfolio demonstrating strong visual storytelling across branded content, agency work, or commercial production.
• Proven experience operating camera and managing exposure, composition, and lighting on location and in studio environments.
• Fluency in professional editing software and post-production workflow, with the ability to cut and deliver polished video independently.
• Experience producing shoots, including scheduling, budgeting, and managing logistics for client-facing productions.
• Background in directing talent or interview subjects, with confidence guiding people who are not trained performers.
