Project Type: Feature Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Outpost VFX Limited is hiring a CG Supervisor to join their team in London, England. This role sits at the heart of the VFX pipeline, leading CG teams through the full delivery of visual effects for high-end film and television productions. It suits a senior VFX professional who has moved comfortably between creative oversight and technical problem-solving on demanding production schedules.

About the Role

The CG Supervisor at Outpost VFX works across feature film and episodic television projects, guiding the CG department from early technical development through final delivery. Day to day, this means reviewing artist work, making calls on technical approach, and keeping output aligned with the creative brief and the show’s overall VFX methodology. You are the point of contact between the VFX Supervisor and the CG team, which means quality control and production momentum both sit with you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the CG department across multiple productions, setting the technical and creative direction for all computer-generated imagery output.
  • Oversee artist work at each stage of the post-production workflow, from lookdev and lighting through to compositing handoff.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues within the CG pipeline before they affect schedule or quality on delivery.
  • Collaborate directly with the VFX Supervisor to ensure CG output meets the visual targets established in pre-production.
  • Manage resource allocation across CG artists, balancing shot complexity against production deadlines.
  • Contribute to shot reviews, providing clear and specific notes that translate creative direction into actionable CG tasks.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as a CG Supervisor or senior CG lead on high-end feature film or episodic television projects.
  • Expert working knowledge of Maya and Houdini within a production VFX pipeline environment.
  • A strong understanding of how CG departments function within the broader post-production workflow, including handoffs to compositing.
  • A credited track record on projects that demonstrate delivery at a premium production level.
  • The ability to lead, mentor, and direct a team of CG artists under real production pressure.

Why This Role

Outpost VFX has built a reputation for delivering high-end VFX work across film and television, operating from their London base with a team that values craft and technical rigour. This CG Supervisor position offers genuine creative influence on a varied production slate rather than a narrowly defined technical remit. For the right candidate, it is a senior role with real scope.

Apply now for the CG Supervisor role at Outpost VFX Limited and bring your expertise to one of London’s respected VFX studios.
