Job Position(s): Associate VFX Producer
Project Type: Feature Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Rodeo FX is hiring an Associate VFX Producer to join their team in Paris, France. This role sits within the VFX production department, working directly alongside the VFX Producer to manage budgets, schedules, and client communications across live-action and effects-heavy productions. It suits a producer with hands-on experience in VFX pipeline workflows who is ready to step into a senior support role on complex, high-profile projects.

About the Role

The Associate VFX Producer works at the intersection of creative and production, bridging the VFX Supervisor, coordinators, and clients to keep shows on track from bid through delivery. Day-to-day work involves tracking shots in ShotGrid, monitoring budget deviations, and managing the flow of information across the production team. This is a role for someone who understands post-production workflow from the inside and can anticipate problems before they become delays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the VFX Producer with bid preparation, evaluating costs for incoming projects and helping establish realistic schedules and budget targets in collaboration with Project Managers.
  • Track project progress against the original quote, maintaining ShotGrid as the source of truth for all scheduling and shot-level data throughout the production pipeline.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, managing regular status updates, flagging changes, and coordinating special requests such as trailer pulls and screening materials.
  • Monitor budgets on active productions, analyze deviations from plan, and work with the VFX Producer to identify solutions that keep projects within scope and on schedule.
  • Attend turnover meetings, document action items, and follow up with clients and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain productive working relationships.
  • Coordinate mid-production and post-mortem assessments, tracking areas for improvement and ensuring findings are fed back into future production planning.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in a VFX production role, such as VFX Coordinator or Production Manager, with credits on episodic television or feature film production.
  • Working knowledge of ShotGrid for shot tracking, scheduling, and pipeline management across a multi-department VFX studio.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and manage production budgets, including forecasting, variance analysis, and rebidding client changes.
  • Strong communication skills with direct client-facing experience in a VFX or post-production context.
  • Fluency in French and English is expected given the Paris location and international client base.

Why This Role

Rodeo FX has built a reputation as a serious VFX studio through consistent work on major studio productions, with facilities operating across multiple continents. The Paris studio offers direct access to European productions while remaining connected to the company’s broader international pipeline. For a producer looking to grow toward a full VFX Producer credit, this role provides the operational scope and client exposure to make that move credible.
