Actor

Showpony is hiring actors based in Amsterdam, North Holland, to represent brands across commercial production, live events, and music video work. This role sits at the intersection of on-camera performance and experiential marketing, with talent deployed as lead performers rather than background, delivering brand messaging through scripted and improvised formats. It suits performers with range across commercial television, branded content, and live activation work who are equally comfortable in front of a camera and a festival crowd.

About the Role

Actors at Showpony work across a broad slate of projects including TV commercials, online advertising campaigns, music videos, and live brand events, functioning as the primary on-screen or on-site talent rather than supporting cast. A typical week might move between a commercial production shoot one day and a branded live event the next, requiring the ability to shift quickly between scripted performance and real-time audience interaction. The role demands genuine versatility across both structured sets and unscripted environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing as lead talent in TV commercials and online video advertising campaigns, translating a brand’s core message through character and presence.
• Taking principal roles in music video productions, using narrative performance skills to carry story and emotional tone across the full shoot.
• Representing brands as character performers or ambassadors at live events and festivals, engaging audiences directly through sustained, live interaction.
• Improvising effectively on set and at events when production conditions shift, maintaining character and brand consistency without direction.
• Collaborating with directors and brand clients across commercial production workflows to deliver takes that meet both creative and marketing briefs.
• Maintaining a professional, well-groomed presentation suitable for on-camera work across a range of brand categories and production styles.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated performance credits across commercial television, branded content, or music video production.
• Confidence with both scripted roles and improvised performance in live or unscripted formats.
• Experience working in high-energy event environments where audience interaction is part of the role.
• Flexibility to take on varied project types across different production timelines and formats.
• An outgoing presence and the ability to hold attention in both intimate and large-scale settings.

Why This Role

Showpony works with leading brands across the Netherlands and offers talent access to a genuine mix of commercial production formats, from broadcast advertising to large-scale live events. The company provides training workshops and ongoing development as part of its roster model, meaning performers are supported beyond individual bookings. Scheduling is flexible, with talent choosing projects that fit their availability rather than committing to fixed contracts.
