Videographer

X Media is hiring a full-time Videographer based in Brisbane, Queensland. This role sits at the camera department level of a commercial video production company, with output spanning luxury property films, architectural content, lifestyle shoots, and brand campaigns. It suits a working videographer with a strong portfolio and the confidence to own a shoot from brief through to footage handover.

About the Role

You’ll be operating across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and surrounding regions, shooting for property developers, real estate professionals, and commercial brands. The production workflow runs concept to delivery in-house, so your footage feeds directly into an internal post-production team. On any given week you might be capturing the details of a luxury home in the morning and working with talent on a development campaign the same afternoon.

Key Responsibilities

• Film property, architecture, lifestyle, and commercial content across locations in South East Queensland, maintaining consistent visual quality across each production.
• Review creative briefs ahead of each shoot, contribute to shot coverage planning, and arrive on location prepared for the day’s schedule.
• Operate cameras, gimbals, lighting rigs, and audio equipment, adapting your setup when conditions shift on location.
• Shape natural and controlled lighting setups to build the look and mood required by each brief.
• Direct clients, presenters, and on-camera talent through takes, keeping performance relaxed and coverage on schedule.
• Log and back up footage to production standards and deliver clear, organised handovers to the editing team.

What You Bring

• Professional videography experience across commercial production, with a showreel that demonstrates your eye for composition, movement, and light.
• Confident handling of camera and gimbal systems, with the technical range to problem-solve in real time on location.
• An understanding of how individual shots serve the edit, grounded in visual storytelling across short-form commercial work.
• Experience filming luxury property, interiors, or architectural content is a genuine advantage.
• Drone operation experience and colour grading skills in DaVinci Resolve are considered a bonus.
• A current driver’s licence and availability to travel to shoot locations across the region.
