Adventist Media Ministries is hiring a Video Editor to join the Media Production department at It Is Written, based in Ooltewah, Tennessee. This role sits at the center of a full post-production workflow, cutting broadcast programs, streaming content, and digital assets for web, app, and social media distribution. It suits a self-directed editor with a background in both production and post who is comfortable owning projects from ingest to final delivery.

About the Role

The Video Editor works directly within the It Is Written Media Production team, editing episodic broadcast content alongside streaming and on-demand programming. A typical day involves managing multiple editorial timelines, working with motion graphics and sound design, and coordinating with a Producer to meet broadcast deadlines. The post-production pipeline includes mastering, captioning, archiving, and cataloging, so strong organizational habits are as important as editorial skill.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit broadcast and streaming programs from assembly through final output, maintaining consistency with It Is Written’s established branding and editorial guidelines.
• Build and deliver on-demand content formatted for websites, mobile apps, and social media platforms as part of a regular digital distribution workflow.
• Handle motion graphics and sound design within the edit, using industry-standard tools to support the visual and tonal identity of each program.
• Manage content ingest, media organization, and the full post-production workflow including episode captioning, archiving, and catalog maintenance.
• Develop written digital summaries for assigned programs to support metadata and audience engagement across platforms.
• Operate camera or assist with directing on production days when the project requires it, functioning across both production and post-production as needed.

What You Bring

• Three to five years of experience as a creative media professional, with an agency or within an organization producing broadcast or digital content.
• Proficiency in Apple Final Cut Pro, Motion, and Compressor, or DaVinci Resolve as primary editing and finishing tools.
• Working knowledge of Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer for graphics support within the post-production process.
• Hands-on experience across both production and post-production disciplines, including familiarity with broadcast delivery standards.
• Membership in good standing with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, in alignment with the mission of It Is Written.
• A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
