Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end creative vision for the main channel, from original story concept through production handoff and final editorial review.
• Write and rewrite scripts directly, give story notes on hooks, stakes, pacing, and emotional payoff, and maintain a forward-looking script pipeline that never stalls production.
• Use YouTube analytics including audience retention, click-through rate, and watch time to evaluate what is working and apply those findings to future scripted content development.
• Partner with the distribution team on titles, thumbnails, and programming decisions, turning weekly performance reviews into concrete changes to the creative approach.
• Take a general manager view of channel financials, working with production and finance to understand the cost implications of creative choices including locations, sets, cast size, and shoot schedules.
• Recruit and manage a lean writers’ room and creative producing team, building repeatable systems for ideation, script development, approvals, and production handoffs.

What You Bring

• 10 or more years of showrunning or equivalent creative leadership experience delivering scripted content on demanding weekly schedules.
• A genuine track record as a writer, not just a creative executive, with credits that show you can generate original ideas and fix story problems at the script level.
• Fluency with YouTube platform mechanics, digital content formats, and how audience data should inform scripted storytelling decisions.
• Experience managing writers’ room operations and building script development pipelines that support high-volume episodic or series production.
• Comfort applying AI and automation tools to reduce repetitive workflow tasks without trading away script quality.
