Project Type: Streaming Content
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Warner Bros. Discovery is hiring a Producer for CNN VOD Streaming, based in Washington, DC. This role sits within CNN’s direct-to-consumer streaming division, where the Producer owns the full content pipeline from pitch through publish, delivering short and long form video programming built specifically for the new streaming platform. It’s a strong fit for an experienced digital video producer who thinks in narrative structure and knows how to shape editorial for on-demand audiences.

About the Role

This Producer works inside a growing team of video professionals dedicated to CNN’s streaming product, not linear broadcast, which means the output is driven by platform performance data and digital storytelling instincts in equal measure. Day to day involves pitching story ideas, writing scripts, cutting sequences in Adobe Premiere, and managing post-production workflow from rough assembly to final delivery. The role also carries real pre-production responsibility, including logistics, talent bookings, rights clearances, and coordinating across CNN’s broader news division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pitch, write, and edit original short and long form content for the CNN streaming platform, maintaining full editorial and journalistic standards throughout.
  • Execute end-to-end post-production workflow using Adobe Premiere and After Effects, including motion graphics, platform packaging, and asset management.
  • Manage pre-production coordination across multiple concurrent projects, covering logistics, talent bookings, licensing clearances, and rights compliance.
  • Direct field shoots and guide visual composition and pacing decisions to serve digital streaming audiences rather than broadcast formats.
  • Track video performance metrics and audience insights to inform editorial decisions and align content with platform goals.
  • Collaborate with producers, on-air talent, external contributors, and production partners across the news division to bring editorial projects to completion on deadline.

What You Bring

  • Four to six years of progressively complex production experience in a news or sports media environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere, with working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics and platform packaging.
  • Demonstrated experience shaping narrative structure, tone, and pacing across digital video formats including both short form and long form content.
  • A bachelor’s degree in journalism, technical production, or equivalent professional production credits.
  • Strong research and visual writing skills grounded in editorial journalism standards.

Why This Role

Warner Bros. Discovery is building CNN’s streaming service from the ground up, which means this Producer position carries genuine influence over how the platform’s content identity takes shape. Working in Washington, DC, the role places you inside one of the most recognized names in news, with access to the reporting infrastructure and editorial resources that come with that. For producers with digital video production backgrounds who want to work at the intersection of journalism and streaming, this is a substantive next step.

Apply now for the Producer, CNN VOD Streaming role at Warner Bros. Discovery and bring your editorial and production experience to one of the most watched names in news streaming.
