Project Type: Film & Television
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Elsevier is hiring an Administrative Production Assistant based out of Home, Washington to support its in-house health education video studio. This role sits inside the studio’s content production workflow, handling script management, document control, and production administration from pre-production through release. It suits a detail-oriented production professional who understands how content pipelines run and wants to contribute to a high-volume video production operation.

About the Role

The Administrative Production Assistant works directly with the Studio Team and Head of Content at Elsevier, supporting the end-to-end delivery of medical education video content. A typical day involves conforming scripts after video releases, maintaining version control across outlines and table of contents documents, and keeping project tasks current inside Asana. This is a production administration role at its core, meaning the work keeps the entire studio’s content workflow organized and moving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conform scripts following video releases and maintain accurate version control across all production documents, including outlines, scripts, and table of contents files.
  • Create and manage Asana tasks for active video projects, adding updates, documents, and templates as production progresses.
  • Store and organize script and outline documents for medical experts and production staff within established digital asset management systems, including Dropbox and Adobe DAM.
  • Partner with the Client Services team to prepare and distribute script review sets to clients on schedule.
  • Draft video release communications, update production databases, and submit award nominations as part of ongoing studio support responsibilities.
  • Support cross-functional studio operations by creating or updating table of contents documents and responding to requests across the production team.

What You Bring

  • Experience on the administrative side of video production workflows, or a completed degree in Film Production or a closely related field.
  • Working knowledge of film and video production processes, including pre-production documentation and content delivery pipelines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications used in production environments.
  • Familiarity with Dropbox for file storage and version control, with Adobe DAM experience considered a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and independent time management.
  • Written communication skills suited to a production context, with healthcare or medical education content experience as a plus.

Why This Role

Elsevier operates as a global leader in health information and analytics, and this studio produces video content used directly in medical and nursing education, giving the production work genuine downstream impact. The position offers flexible working hours and a remote setup, which suits experienced production administrators who manage their own schedules well. The U.S. national base pay range is $36,700 to $61,300, with a Maryland-specific range of $38,600 to $64,400, and geographic differentials may apply in some locations.

If you have a background in production administration and want to apply those skills inside a content studio with a clear purpose, apply now for the Administrative Production Assistant role at Elsevier.
