ENG Videographer / Video Editor

This is a field and studio production role sitting within OAN’s news division, responsible for shooting and cutting broadcast-ready segments that air on the network. About the Role

This position operates within OAN’s DC bureau team, covering political and breaking news stories for broadcast television. Day to day, you are moving between field shoots and the edit suite, handling everything from camera setup and location audio to post-production workflow on finished segments. The bureau chief sets editorial direction, and you are responsible for bringing that vision to air on deadline.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate professional video cameras on location and in the studio for pre-recorded broadcast programming.
• Transport, configure, and operate field and studio production equipment, including audio and lighting rigs suited to ENG production.
• Edit video segments across tape and digital formats, shaping raw footage into broadcast-ready content within news cycle deadlines.
• Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on video and audio production equipment to keep gear field-ready.
• Assist with the upkeep and preparation of studio sets and production properties as needed by the bureau.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by the Washington, DC bureau chief in support of daily broadcast operations.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience operating professional video cameras in ENG or broadcast television environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of professional video editing and post-production procedures across digital and tape-based formats.
• Ability to configure and maintain studio and field audio, lighting, and associated production equipment.
• Strong time management skills suited to the demands of a broadcast news production schedule.
• Working knowledge of equipment repair and the ability to troubleshoot audio and video gear independently.
