About the Role

The Senior Motion Designer at Ride Shotgun works within the in-house creative team, producing CGI-led work for top-tier brand clients across broadcast and digital formats. Day to day, this means moving between hands-on motion design work and supervising team output, ensuring visual consistency and technical quality from brief to delivery. The role also carries responsibility for integrating AI tools into the post-production workflow to improve speed and quality across the board.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead CGI and VFX production across TVCs, brand films, and social content, maintaining quality control at every stage of the post-production pipeline.
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level motion designers within the in-house team, providing feedback grounded in both craft and production reality.
• Input into creative briefs and work directly with directors and creative leads to shape the visual direction of CG animation sequences.
• Drive the adoption and practical use of AI tools within the motion design workflow to improve turnaround times without sacrificing output quality.
• Manage the delivery of motion assets across multiple concurrent projects, hitting broadcast and platform specifications with meticulous attention to detail.
• Push the technical and aesthetic boundaries of CG animation on each project, keeping the studio’s output competitive within the commercial production landscape.

What You Bring

• A strong portfolio of CGI and VFX work across TVCs and brand film production, ideally with broadcast credits.
• Advanced proficiency in industry-standard motion design and 3D software such as Cinema 4D, After Effects, and Houdini or equivalent.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring within a post-production or animation studio environment.
• Practical working knowledge of AI tools applied to motion design or VFX pipeline tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables across a commercial production slate under real deadlines.
