Lionsgate is hiring a Department Coordinator, Television to join its Canadian television team in Toronto, ON. This role sits at the center of the scripted development pipeline, supporting senior leadership across scheduling, slate management, and broadcaster relations. It’s the right fit for someone who knows their way around a development office and wants to grow within episodic television.

About the Role

Lionsgate Canada’s television department produces and develops scripted content for Canadian broadcasters and global audiences, and this coordinator position keeps that operation running day to day. You’ll support the President, SVP of Development, and VP of Production, which means your work touches everything from pitch meetings with broadcasters to Board presentations. On any given day, that could mean updating the slate database, coordinating a conference trip, or pulling together a pitch deck for an active series concept.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all scheduling for the President and SVP of Development, including pitch meetings with broadcasters, writer generals, and agency pitches across the scripted development calendar.
  • Track series development progress and update the slate database weekly, maintaining accurate records of where each project stands in the pipeline.
  • Build and maintain talent trackers and submission logs in AirTable, keeping associated materials current for the scripted development team.
  • Create pitch decks and one-sheets for series concepts being presented to broadcasters, drawing on Canva and PowerPoint to bring materials together.
  • Prepare monthly expense reports for the President, SVP of Development, and VP of Production, and handle document routing through DocuSign.
  • Download and distribute national television ratings to relevant stakeholders, and assist with Town Hall and Board Meeting presentations as required.

What You Bring

  • 1 to 3 years of administrative experience, with preference for time spent inside a television development or production company.
  • Hands-on experience with AirTable for project tracking, plus strong proficiency in Canva and Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Comfort working across multiple priorities simultaneously, with an understanding of how development timelines and broadcaster relationships operate.
  • Demonstrated discretion when handling confidential materials, including talent conversations, deal terms, and internal creative decisions.
  • Strong written communication skills for preparing slate overview documents, one-sheets, and executive-facing presentations.

Why This Role

Lionsgate Canada has a long track record of producing award-winning Canadian content while also distributing a broad catalogue of film and television for domestic and international markets, which means the work here carries real scope. The salary range for this Department Coordinator position is $55,000 to $65,000, with benefits including competitive health and dental coverage, a Health Spending Account, and a Group RRSP with employer match. Regular film screenings and access to industry events make this a genuine entry point into the upper levels of Canadian episodic television development.
