A typical day moves between scripting, editing in Adobe Creative Suite, and driving creative decisions on which stories belong on video and in what format.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end editorial video production on longform and serialized projects, from story treatment through final delivery.
• Write and structure scripts with a clear understanding of visual pacing, shot selection, and narrative tone for digital journalism audiences.
• Shoot in the field and edit finished pieces, maintaining proficiency across the full file-based production environment.
• Manage production schedules and budgets across multiple projects, keeping content timely and cost-effective without sacrificing editorial quality.
• Translate audience insight and editorial strategy into original video formats that meet CNN’s journalistic standards.
• Experiment with format and visual treatment to develop new approaches to business and media storytelling across platforms.

What You Bring

• Eight or more years of experience in editorial video production, with a proven track record across digital journalism or episodic video formats.
• Hands-on technical expertise in editing and producing using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong background in field production, including camera operation, shot composition, and post-production workflow in file-based environments.
• Experience working with on-camera talent at a professional level.
• A bachelor’s degree in journalism, technical production, or equivalent professional experience in broadcast or digital media production.
