Job Position(s): Junior Sports Video Editor — Promos, Highlights & Motion
Project Type: Short Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Host Broadcast Services is hiring a Junior Sports Video Editor for their Non-Live Production team in London. This role sits within post-production, cutting promos, highlights packages, and short-form features for broadcast and digital platforms across major sports properties. It suits an early-career editor who has a solid grip on post-production workflow and wants to build their credits on international sports content.

About the Role

The Non-Live Production team at Host Broadcast Services handles editorial output that lives outside the live broadcast window, including promotional content, event features, and digital-first sports storytelling. Day to day, you will be cutting on Adobe Premiere Pro, working alongside producers and motion designers to deliver polished sequences on deadline. The role is based in Central London with a minimum of three days per week in the office, plus international travel tied to production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit sports promos, highlight reels, and short-form features to broadcast delivery standards across linear and digital platforms.
  • Operate within an Adobe Creative Cloud post-production workflow, cutting primarily in Premiere Pro with motion work supported in After Effects.
  • Work directly with producers during the offline edit to shape story structure, pacing, and tone across a range of sports formats.
  • Collaborate with motion designers to integrate graphics packages and lower-thirds that meet broadcast specification requirements.
  • Manage media organisation, project files, and version control to keep productions on schedule across multiple concurrent edits.
  • Travel internationally to support on-site editorial production at live sports events when required by the production calendar.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrable experience editing sports content, promos, or short-form broadcast features at a junior or assistant editor level.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects as primary post-production tools.
  • A showreel that reflects strong editorial instincts across highlight packages, promo cuts, or digital sports content.
  • Comfort working within a structured broadcast post-production environment where deadlines and delivery specs are fixed.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule from Central London with availability for international travel.

Why This Role

Host Broadcast Services operates at the host broadcast level for some of the largest sports events in the world, which means the editorial work here carries genuine scale and reach. For a junior editor looking to deepen their sports post-production credits quickly, the volume and variety of content moving through this team is hard to match at this career stage. The mix of London-based editing and international event travel gives the role a production footprint that most junior positions simply do not offer.
