About the Role

You’ll sit within the Social Production team at dmg media, working directly alongside senior editors, producers, and creatives on a continuous output of short-form content. Key Responsibilities

• Edit high volumes of studio-based and presenter-led footage into platform-optimised short-form video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Apply accurate subtitles and captions to every deliverable, ensuring compliance with platform accessibility standards.
• Deliver same-day publish-ready cuts across explainer formats and recurring series without requiring heavy senior oversight.
• Maintain consistent pacing, framing, and format conventions across each platform’s specific aspect ratio and duration requirements.
• Collaborate with producers and senior editors during the short-form post-production workflow to flag technical issues and meet scheduled publish windows.
• Manage multiple concurrent edit timelines in a newsroom environment, prioritising output based on editorial scheduling.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience editing short-form social video, with a portfolio showing TikTok, Reels, or Shorts output in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro or equivalent NLE, with a working knowledge of fast-turnaround post-production workflow.
• Solid understanding of platform-specific delivery requirements including aspect ratios, file formats, and subtitle integration.
• Experience cutting presenter-led or studio-based content rather than purely user-generated material.
• Comfort operating at high output volume inside a newsroom or digital media production environment.
