Part-Time Videographer

Alpha Media USA LLC is hiring a Part-Time Videographer to join its Live Studio production team in Milford, Connecticut. This role sits within the live broadcast and event production department, where the primary output is camera-operated footage from live music performances, artist interviews, and community events captured for broadcast and digital distribution. It suits a camera operator with live production experience who is comfortable working under real-time direction in a broadcast environment.

About the Role

The Part-Time Videographer works alongside a production crew reporting to the Operations Manager, contributing to live event broadcasts that feature both local and national artists and personalities. A typical shift involves operating professional video cameras during live sessions, receiving shot calls via headset from a Technical Director, and supporting event operations before and after the cameras roll. This is a part-time position running approximately 5 to 10 hours per week, with scheduling weighted toward evenings and weekends tied to the live event calendar.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate professional video cameras during live music performances, broadcast interviews, and special events for multi-camera live production.
• Execute real-time shot calls received via headset from the Technical Director, maintaining broadcast-quality framing and composition throughout each live session.
• React quickly to changes in the live production workflow, including unscripted moments during performances or interviews.
• Support event operations as needed, including guest check-in, audience management, and crowd flow coordination following live sessions.
• Assist with meet-and-greet coordination alongside on-air talent and event staff to ensure a smooth guest experience.
• Apply working knowledge of FCC rules and regulations relevant to live broadcast production environments.

What You Bring

• 1 to 2 years of experience operating video cameras in live event production, broadcast, or multi-camera productions.
• Demonstrated ability to take direction quickly and stay composed during live broadcasting with no margin for error.
• Experience filming live concerts, sporting events, or broadcast performances is preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or comparable post-production software is a plus.
• Familiarity with live switching or directing in a multi-camera broadcast setup is an advantage.
• Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds and remain on your feet for the duration of a live event shoot.
