VFX Production Manager — Mentorship & Fast Growth
- Full Time
- London, England, UK
Outpost VFX Limited
Outpost VFX Limited is hiring a VFX Production Manager based in London, England, to lead scheduling and delivery across their high-end episodic and film VFX pipeline. This role sits at the centre of production operations, owning show schedules, daily priorities, and the flow of information between artists, senior producers, and clients from brief through to final delivery. It suits an experienced VFX production professional who knows how to keep a complex post-production workflow moving without losing sight of the detail.
About the Role
The VFX Production Manager at Outpost VFX Limited works across episodic television and feature film projects, sitting between the client-facing producer team and the internal VFX pipeline. Day to day this means maintaining live schedules, tracking targets across departments, coordinating with data IO, and making sure every stakeholder has the information they need to hit their marks. It is a hands-on production role where clear thinking and good communication matter more than anything else.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain show schedules across episodic and film VFX projects, updating priorities daily as the pipeline shifts.
- Act as the primary point of contact between clients and the internal production team, managing expectations and communicating delivery milestones clearly.
- Coordinate with the data IO team to ensure assets are ingested, tracked, and returned on schedule throughout each show.
- Work alongside senior producers to identify bottlenecks in the VFX pipeline and propose practical solutions before they affect delivery.
- Drive consistent use of scheduling best practices across the production team, keeping documentation accurate and accessible at every stage.
- Support a positive team environment by keeping communication clear and workloads realistic relative to the delivery schedule.
What You Bring
- A minimum of three years working in VFX scheduling or production management on episodic television or feature film projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex VFX pipelines from brief through to final delivery.
- Confident working directly with clients, translating production realities into clear, timely communication.
- Familiarity with industry-standard production tracking tools used in post-production workflow environments.
- A track record of working constructively with both creative and technical departments under real schedule pressure.
Why This Role
Outpost VFX is a growing studio with a slate that spans high-end episodic television and film, which means the production problems here are genuine and the credits are worth having. The company is at a stage where experienced production people can have a real impact on how things are built and run. For a VFX Production Manager who wants room to grow rather than just execute, this is a substantive opportunity.
