SUMO is hiring a Long-Form Senior Video Editor in London to join the in-house creative team behind one of the UK’s leading creator-led entertainment brands. This role sits within post-production, responsible for cutting long-form video content from raw assembly through to final delivery at broadcast quality, for an audience of millions across TV and YouTube. It suits an editor with genuine credits in factual entertainment, broadcast television, or high-volume digital content who can work at pace without sacrificing craft.

About the Role

The Long-Form Senior Video Editor works embedded within a creative and production team making personality-driven content that sits at the intersection of broadcast television and YouTube publishing. Projects are large in scale and demand an editor who can manage substantial amounts of raw footage and shape it into structured, entertaining narratives. The post-production workflow runs on Adobe Premiere Pro, and this is a hybrid position with two days in the office and three days remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit long-form video content from initial assembly cut through to picture lock, maintaining broadcast-level production values throughout the post-production workflow.
• Shape high volumes of raw footage into clear narrative structures with confident decisions on pacing, story arc, and audience retention.
• Apply strong editorial judgement to improve sequencing and timing across factual entertainment and personality-led formats.
• Work directly with producers and creatives during the editorial process, responding to notes while maintaining a consistent editorial voice.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously within a production schedule, prioritising deliverables without compromising output quality.
• Provide editorial feedback and practical support to other editors on the team where projects require it.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience editing long-form factual entertainment, broadcast television, or episodic content at a senior level.
• A strong portfolio showing narrative construction from large footage ratios, with credits across TV or high-end digital production.
• Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro as a primary editing tool.
• A sharp understanding of pacing, structure, and what keeps an audience engaged across longer runtimes.
• Experience working on content built around on-screen talent, where character and entertainment value drive editorial decisions.
