About the Role

The VFX Supervisor at Untold Studios leads the full creative process across multiple concurrent projects, working directly with directors and clients to define approach and maintain quality standards from pre-production through post-production workflow. Day to day, this means jumping between on-set supervision, internal team management, client feedback sessions, and pipeline problem-solving. The role carries real ownership, not just oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of the VFX pipeline across projects, from bidding and methodology planning through to final delivery against deadline and budget.
• Provide on-set supervision, advising directors on VFX approach and capturing all necessary reference data and tracking markers for post.
• Work alongside producers and coordinators to build schedules that reflect the actual scope of VFX work and flag risks early.
• Lead client relationships through the full production cycle, interpreting feedback clearly and translating it into actionable direction for the team.
• Mentor VFX artists at various career stages, supporting their development through project work and beyond.
• Drive recruitment by reviewing reels and CVs, conducting interviews, and helping define what each role on a given project actually requires.

What You Bring

• Significant experience as a VFX Supervisor or Senior VFX Artist with credits spanning commercial, episodic television, or feature film production.
• Deep working knowledge of industry-standard VFX software across compositing, 3D, and related disciplines.
• A history of running teams of varying sizes and keeping them focused under the pressure of real production timelines.
• Strong on-set experience, with an understanding of how decisions made during the shoot affect the post-production workflow.
• The ability to manage multiple projects concurrently without losing quality control on any of them.
