The Washington Nationals Baseball Club is hiring a Videographer Editor (Part-Time) to join their in-house production team in Washington, D.C. This role sits within Curly W Productions, the club’s internal content unit, and outputs video for social media, scoreboard displays, and broadcast channels on game days. It’s a fit for a shooter-editor who is comfortable working across the full production workflow, from camera operation on the field to real-time highlight editing in post.

About the Role

The Videographer Editor (Part-Time) works as part of a multi-camera production crew covering live sports content through the end of the 2026 season. A typical game day runs from pregame setup through postgame delivery, covering player interviews, fan experience segments, and live action for same-day social media turnaround. Archive management and asset tagging are also part of the day-to-day post-production workflow on this team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shoot and edit game day video content spanning player interviews, fan features, and live game action for social media and scoreboard distribution.
  • Cut highlights in real time during game play for immediate social media publication, requiring tight editorial judgment under deadline pressure.
  • Operate as a crew member and grip on multi-camera production shoots, including second camera coverage as assigned.
  • Handle pregame, in-game, and postgame video archiving with accurate asset tagging to support the team’s internal production workflow.
  • Work with advanced camera support systems including gimbals and sliders to deliver cinematic-style footage consistent with the team’s content standards.
  • Apply motion graphics and finishing touches using After Effects and Photoshop to support final deliverables across channels.

What You Bring

  • Video production experience in college or professional sports, with baseball industry knowledge considered a strong asset.
  • Hands-on experience with interchangeable lens cameras and professional lighting, grip, and audio equipment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere for non-linear editing, with working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • A demo reel is required for consideration, demonstrating cinematic shooting style and editorial work.
  • Availability for evening and weekend game day hours through September 2026, with consistent in-person presence in Washington, D.C.

Why This Role

Curly W Productions gives its team direct access to a Major League Baseball environment, with content reaching audiences across broadcast, stadium, and digital platforms throughout the season. The projected wage rate for this position is $25 to $30 per hour, with actual pay based on qualifications, skills, expertise, education and training, certifications, and other organization requirements. For a Videographer Editor looking to build credits in live sports video production, this is a legitimate production credit with a recognized franchise.
