Job Position(s): Videographer/Video Editor
Project Type: Commercial
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Creative Resource is hiring a Videographer/Video Editor to join an award-winning integrated agency in Manchester, England, UK. This is an in-house content creation role sitting within the agency’s creative department, responsible for end-to-end video production from location shooting through to final edit for consumer brand campaigns and social content. It suits an early-career shooter-editor who wants to build a serious portfolio inside a well-resourced agency environment rather than freelancing piecemeal.

About the Role

The agency has historically relied on external production partners for video output and is now building that capability in-house, which means this person is coming in at the ground floor of that shift. Day-to-day work spans location shoots, edit suite sessions, and creative development conversations alongside strategists and account teams. The output ranges from consumer brand films to social video content, with no two briefs asking for the same approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute location shoots for consumer brand campaigns, handling camera operation, framing, and on-set decision-making without a dedicated crew.
  • Edit footage through the full post-production workflow, from rough assembly to picture lock, with attention to pacing, narrative structure, and tone.
  • Produce and format social video content optimised for platform-specific aspect ratios and audience retention patterns.
  • Contribute to pre-production creative development, bringing ideas on shot selection, visual storytelling, and edit approach into briefing conversations.
  • Manage media ingest, organisation, and archiving to keep the agency’s growing in-house content library structured and accessible.
  • Work directly with senior creatives and account teams to interpret briefs and deliver edits that serve both the creative and commercial objectives of each project.

What You Bring

  • A showreel demonstrating strong shooting instincts and confident editorial storytelling, with or without large-budget client credits.
  • Solid working knowledge of industry-standard editing software, with experience cutting branded or social video content.
  • Practical experience operating camera on location with an understanding of composition, light, and moment.
  • Familiarity with social video production formats and the differences in post-production workflow those require.
  • Ability to self-direct on set and manage your own time across concurrent projects at different stages of production.

Why This Role

Creative Resource is placing this role at an agency with a genuine track record in consumer advertising, multiple industry awards, and a stable client roster that gives the work real reach. Because the video function is being built from scratch internally, this Videographer/Video Editor hire carries real influence over how that department takes shape. The agency operates a Tuesday to Thursday in-office model with location work filling the rest of the schedule.
