Amazon MGM Studios is hiring a Creative Unscripted Executive to be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This role sits within the Benelux originals team and is responsible for shepherding unscripted series through the full arc of development and production, from initial pitch to final delivery on Prime Video. It suits an experienced creative executive with a background at either a production company or a commissioning network who knows how unscripted television actually gets made.

About the Role

The Creative Unscripted Executive works inside Amazon MGM Studios’ local originals operation, supporting the sourcing, development, and production of unscripted series for the Benelux market. Day to day, this means attending pitches, evaluating creative concepts and source material, and working directly with production partners through pre-production, shoot, and post. This is a current programming and development role that touches casting, staffing, post-production supervision, and cross-departmental coordination across Marketing, Publicity, Research, and Business and Legal Affairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate incoming pitches and source material for unscripted series, applying editorial judgment to identify which ideas have genuine commission potential.
• Support production partners through all phases of episodic television production, including budgeting, scheduling, and on-location troubleshooting when required.
• Lead staffing decisions on key creative positions, including showrunners and directors, to ensure each project has the right team in place before cameras roll.
• Oversee post-production and editing on assigned shows, holding the finished product to Amazon MGM Studios’ creative and technical standards through to delivery.
• Build and maintain working relationships with producers, directors, production companies, and talent representatives across the Benelux creative community.
• Coordinate with internal departments including Marketing, Publicity, and Digital to support the launch of local original content on Prime Video.

What You Bring

• Meaningful credits in unscripted television development or production, either from a production company or a network commissioning role.
• Hands-on understanding of pre-production, physical production, and post-production workflow on non-scripted formats.
• Experience evaluating creative material and providing clear, actionable notes to external production partners.
• Established relationships within the Dutch or broader European television industry.
• Fluency in English, with your application submitted in English as required.
