Vice President, Distribution Finance

AMC Networks is hiring a Vice President, Distribution Finance based in New York, NY to lead financial strategy across its distribution and affiliate revenue operations. This role sits within the Global FP&A team and owns the financial modeling, forecasting, and deal analysis that drives how AMC Networks monetizes its linear cable networks and streaming services including AMC+, Shudder, Acorn TV, and ALLBLK. About the Role

The Vice President, Distribution Finance works at the intersection of deal-making and financial planning, supporting negotiations with cable and streaming partners while owning the budget and forecast cycles for Affiliate, Content Licensing, Franchise, and Gaming revenue. Day-to-day, this person is modeling proposed distribution economics, reviewing contract terms for alignment with financial projections, and preparing reporting for Board of Directors presentations. The role also manages a team of finance leaders and partners closely with the Strategic Business Development group on new monetization strategies for AMC Networks IP.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models for MVPD and streaming partnership proposals, including counter-proposal recommendations for executive review.
• Evaluate streaming bundle economics and subscription video on demand partnership structures across AMC Networks’ portfolio of targeted streaming services.
• Track and analyze subscriber trends, rate per basic subscriber, and average revenue per user across linear and SVOD distribution channels.
• Oversee the monthly close, annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range plan for all distribution revenue and related expense lines.
• Research and summarize industry trends in content licensing and episodic television distribution to inform renewal strategy with existing partners.
• Support the SVP of Finance, Commercial Revenue with ad hoc analysis and contribute to quarterly financial reporting packages.

What You Bring

• 10 or more years of experience in finance or management consulting, with exposure to streaming, content licensing, or ad-supported cable television preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with an MBA completed or in progress preferred.
• Hands-on experience with financial systems and data visualization tools, including Oracle and Essbase.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex deal analysis across multiple simultaneous negotiations or projects.
• A track record of managing and developing finance teams in a structured FP&A environment.
